Kiana Miller

 I am Kiana Miller LMSW, residential counselor at Job Corps. I was born and raised in the Bronx. I entered the capital region as a bachelors level student at Union college in 2012 and I have not left the capital region since. I have also been a volunteer teacher at girls inc, Bethesda House, Early Head Start, Albany Leadership Charter, the Kenney Community Center and countless other organizations located in Schenectady or serving members of the Schenectady community. I am an artist by trade and by choice, I am a mural artist, a self-published poet, a sister a daughter and a friend. I am also proud to say I am a member of the Board of Directors for the Miracle on Craig Street.

Raeshelle Frasier

Schenectady Native

Rae Frasier is a multi-talented Schenectady native, artist. She is the owner and creator of the brand Art Money. She enjoys painting on multiple canvasses including but not limited to clothing, shoes, outerwear, buildings and wrapped canvas’. She specializes in limited edition, cultural collections that uplift and empower. Raè believes that through art is how you evoke freedom. Raè has used art as a form of healing and therapy and has also used art as a catalyst to  ring about social justice and awareness to human rights issues. ​

Ashley is currently working as a Licensed Master Social Worker for Neil Hellman School at Northern Rivers Family of Services. She has a passion for people, a wealth of community relations experience and leadership skills to support the mission of this organization; to bring culturally competent resources and opportunities to communities that need it most. Help us welcome Ashley to our team! We’re so blessed to have her at our table.

 Georgina R. Parsons was born and raised in Schenectady, New York where she attended Schenectady Public Schools.  After graduating high school, she attended Utica College; receiving a degree in Journalism and Sociology. Georgina started her career as a program specialist with Girls Incorporated of the Greater Capital Region. She also worked Trinity Alliance and was also a contributing writer for Go Indie TV.  Georgina continues to stay connected to the community for she has over 10 years’ experience working with non-profits and community based organizations.  She is a writer who worked as press officer for the NYS Senate Majority for four years and is currently the Deputy Press Secretary for the NYS Senate Majority. When Georgina is not reading she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Raysheea Turner

Raysheea T. Turner, Esq. is a New York licensed attorney and a Founding Partners of Wallace Turner (WTL), LLP. She has gained her experience in private practice where she focused on Estate Planning, Medicaid planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Guardianships, Real Estate Transactions, Corporate Formations, Property Damage, and Subrogation. Raysheea has also assisted entrepreneurs and businesses with all aspects of their transactions, including formation, contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
Throughout her career, Raysheea has been committed to providing pro bono services to her localcommunity, while also, serving as a mentor to several prospective and current law students.

Julianna Obie
​Julianna has a passion for youth development and civic engagement -mentoring for Sponsor a Scholar, facilitating youth empowerment workshops and volunteering for many local organizations and initiatives. She grew up in Schenectady and spent many of her adult years working for Girls Incorporated, giving back to the community that invested in her. Strong ties to Schenectady drives her enthusiasm for being a part of its revitalization efforts, while ensuring it maintains authenticity and provides unique opportunities for urban communities. She graduated from SUNY Albany with her Bachelors in Communication and Rhetoric and is currently working on her Masters in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology. In her current role as a Community School Site Coordinator she has the ability to create unique opportunities that are provided to local families and students. She is confident that Carver Community Center will bring back a much needed sense of unity and community to the Hamilton Hill area and she is excited to be a part of the development.
